About
Mason Gross
At Mason Gross School of the Arts, almost every night
of the week is filled with performances and exhibitions:
classical music, opera, jazz, and music of the 20th
century; art exhibits by talented students, faculty,
and guest artists; modern dance performed by talented
faculty students and guest artists;
and a theater series that rivals those of the best repertory
theaters in the country.
As the arts conservatory of Rutgers, the State University
of New Jersey, Mason Gross School of the Arts is a professional
school offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in
music, theater arts, and visual arts, in addition to
undergraduate degrees in dance. Our mission is to identify
and nurture outstanding creative talent. Our goal is
to instill the insights and skills needed by future
generations of arts professionals, enabling them to
contribute to the creative and scholarly activity so
essential to the vitality of our culture and society.
