Debra Welinder Keller

Since 1980, Debra Welinder Keller has served as a member of the Wendy Osserman Dance Company as both performer and co-choreographer.

Appearances include: in Canada, the Mai Theatre; and in NYC, DTW, St. Mark's Church, Cunningham Studio, New York Public Library at Lincoln Center and Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors. She has danced in the companies of Charles Weidman and Don Redlich and has performed the choreography of Jose Limon, Jane Brendel and Laura Glenn.

Her own work has been seen in New York City at DTW, Mulberry Street Theater, the Alvin Ailey School, Washington Square UM Church and the Medicine Show Theater.

She has taught at a number of elementary schools in New York City, has served as a faculty member of Rutgers University at Camden and Red Bank Regional High School and taught as a guest teacher in Europe. She teaches at the 53rd St. YWCA and maintains a private practice specializing in therapeutic movement, Bartenieff Fundamentals and massage. Debra has been teaching modern dance and ballet at Mason Gross School of the Arts since 1990.

She is trained in Somatic Movement Therapy, Authentic Movement and Yoga. Debra holds a B.F.A. in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts, as well as a CMA in Laban Movement Studies from the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies.
