Patricia Mayer

Patricia Mayer is Chair of the Department of Dance.

A recipient of degrees in dance from the University of Utah and UCLA, her choreography has been seen in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.

A former dancer with the Utah Ballet , the Yovail Folk Dance Company, Studio Muse Dance Theater, and the New York City Dance Exchange, she has toured the United States with Donna Evans in a two-woman show. She has also appeared as a soloist with the Boston Musica Viva at Tanglewood and on New Jersey Public Television.

A former panelist for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, she has taught summer workshops in Hungary and was invited to tour China as a cultural ambassador by the Chinese government.

With colleague Dr. Margery Turner, she established the B.A. dance major at Douglass College, and the B.F.A. dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts.
