Susan Antonaccio is from River Vale, New Jersey and is currently a senior BFA dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts. She has worked with Randy James, John Evans and Paulette Sears and is a second year member of University Danceworks. She has choreographed and performed in numerous student concerts.
April Devers (Understudy) is currently a junior BFA dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts. She has worked with choreographer Wendy Thomas and performed in various student concerts. April has been teaching dance at The Performing Arts Center in South Plainfield for the last five years.
Denise Driscoll is a senior in the BFA dance program at Mason Gross School of the Arts and is the recipient of the Turner Choreography Award. She has danced in numerous student concerts, DancePlus, and is a second year member of University Danceworks. She has worked with choreographers John Evans, Gail Gilbert, Randy James, David Parsons, Susan Marshall and Julia Ritter in COOL New York Festival. Denise’s work was recently performed at the American College Dance Festival.
Lawrence Edwards is born and raised in New Jersey and has been dancing since he was ten years old. He is a senior in the BFA dance program at Mason Gross School of the Arts and is a second year member of University Danceworks. Lawrence has performed extensively on the east coast with Paramount Studios, The Bass River Dance Company and Randy James Dance Works. He has performed and choreographed for Madison Square Garden’s New York Liberty and Knicks basketball teams. Lawrence is also Co-Director of Stage of Dreams National Dance Competition.
Marybeth Jeanne Eibeler is currently a senior in the BFA dance program here at Mason Gross School of the Arts. She has performed in numerous student and senior concerts and is a second year member of University Danceworks. Marybeth has also performed the professional works of Randy James, Susan Marshall, Julia Ritter, John Evans, David Parsons and Cleo Mack.
Carmen Epstein (Understudy) is a Douglass College senior graduating with a BA in Dance. She has performed and choreographed in numerous student concerts as well as working with choreographers Randy James, Julia Ritter and Paulette Sears.
Adanna Jones is a junior BFA dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts. She performed in numerous student dance concerts. She has worked with Julia Ritter Performance Group’s production of Love After Death, which toured Germany and the Czech Republic.
Kristen Lamb grew up in Hicksville, Long Island and is currently a senior BFA dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts. She has worked with choreographers John Evans, Randy James, Gail Gilbert, David Parsons, and Julia Ritter, and has performed and produced works in numerous student concerts. Kristen is a second year member of University Danceworks and is the recipient of the Turner Choreography Award.
Lori Beth Katz is from Edison, New Jersey. She graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, with a BFA in Dance. While attending Rutgers, she worked with various choreographers including Jeanine Durning, David Parsons, Randy James, and Tigger Benford. Lori is a dance educator for the Princeton Ballet School's Arts Education Program, Dance Power and is also a member of Randy James Dance Works.
Stephanie Klemons is a senior at Rutgers College and is currently pursuing a BA in Dance and a BS in Genetics. Her choreography has been produced in the BA concert and she has performed in numerous BFA student concerts as well as DancePlus.
Melanie Kramer is a BFA graduate of Rutgers University where she received the Turner Prize for Choreography. She recently performed with CMDP at Mulbery Street Theater and Dance Theater Workshop’s “Fresh Tracks”. She has taught at Ocean County Community College, Middlesex County Middle School for the Arts and with Young Audiences. She also works with Rhombus Dance/Multimedia and Randy James Dance Works. Melanie is a founding member of CMDP and has worked with Cleo for three years.
Paul Matteson has been a member of Race Dance since 2000. He is also a member David Dorfman Dance and he works with Peter Schmitz, Creach/Company, and Keith Johnson. He is from Cumberland, Maine and graduated from Middlebury College where he studied with Penny Campbell, Andrea Olsen, and Peter Schmitz. He teaches regularly at Dance Space Center and he is on faculty at The American Dance Festival. In 2003, his choreography was presented by Dance Theater Workshop and he was a guest artist at Middlebury College and Hollins University. He has a show at Symphony Space's Thalia Theater at the end of April. Paul received a New York Dance and Performance Award (Bessie) in 2002 for performance.
Laura McComb is currently a junior BFA dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts. She has worked with John Evans, Paulette Sears, Patricia Mayer and several student choreographers.
Kasumi Nakamura was born and raised in Kawasaki City, Japan. She began modern dance when she was two years old at Izumi Arikawa Modern Dance Studio in Tokyo. For the past few years, she has taught and choreographed for children at the studio when she visits Tokyo. She has performed in numerous student concerts and worked with Robert Benford (Cherilyn Biggins), John Evans and Susan Marshall. She has worked with Julia Ritter Performance Group throughout 2002 and 2003, including performances throughout New Jersey, New York City and at the Toronto Fringe Festival. She is also a member of University Danceworks.
Jennifer Nugent is originally from Miami, Florida, where she had the pleasure of performing with Gerri Houlihan & Dancers and Mary Street Dance Theatre (Dale Andree, Artistic Director) and sharing artistic direction with Barbara Sloan in Duo Da Da dance theater. Her own work has been presented at Danspace Project's Food for Thought at St. Mark's Church, Dixon Place, SUNY-Purchase, Ohio State University, DanceSpaceCenter's Raw Materials, Moving Current (Tampa,FL), Manhattan Theatre Source, and George Washington University. While in New York, she has had the fulfilling opportunities to work with Shen Wei, Nina Winthrope, Yin Mei and Daniel Lepkoff. Jennifer teaches widely and she is currently on the faculty of the American Dance Festival in Durham, North Carolina. She is a member of David Dorfman Dance and has been working with Race dance since 1998.
Joseph Poulson is from Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He relocated to NYC in 1999, since, he has had the pleasure of working with Creach/Company, Mark Morris Dance Group, Race Dance and Bill Young and Dancers. He has worked on projects with Jeanine Durning, Lar Lubavitch and Susan Marshall among others. This year Joe has collaborated on work with Paul Matteson and Melinda Ring. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa and frequently teaches and Dance Space Center.
Donna Russo is a senior BFA dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts. She has performed in numerous student dance concerts as well as DancePlus. Donna was a member of the nationally recognized Rutgers Dance Team and is now a member of University Danceworks. She has performed the choreography of Patricia Mayer, Julia Ritter, John Evans and Susan Marshall.
Michele Silk was raised in Roxbury, New Jersey. She is a senior at Mason Gross School of the Arts completing her BFA degree in dance. She has worked with choreographers Randy James, Gail Gilbert, John Evans, Susan Marshall, Patricia Mayer, Craig Patterson and has performed the work of Mark Morris at the American Dance Festival. She was a member of the nationally recognized Rutgers Dance Team and is a second year member of University Danceworks. Her work has been presented in numerous student concerts and she is the 2004 recipient of the Dance Express Award for outstanding choreography.
Danella Vecchio is an alumnus of Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, where she twice received a scholarship to the Nikolais/Louis Dance Theater Lab and was awarded the Turner prize for Choreography. Ms. Vecchio has traveled to Europe and South America teaching and performing dance and theater. She has performed at the Hungarian American Dance Festival in Hungary and the Nueva Tendencias Festival in Chile, where she received an award for Best Actress of the Festival. She has performed at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. with Cleo Mack and has worked with Cleo since 1997. Ms. Vecchio is also a member of John Evans and Dancers and has worked with John since 1995.
Courtney Viar has a BFA in dance from Rutgers University where she received the Turner Prize for Choreography. She performed with LKB Dance, directed by Leah Kreutzer, for three years. She has performed at the Hungarian American Dance Festival in Hungary and the Kennedy Center with Cleo Mack and at St. Mark’s Yard Benefit and the Cunningham Studio for John Evans. She recently performed with CMDP at Mulbery Street Theater and Dance Theater Workshop’s “Fresh Tracks”. Courtney is a founding member of CMDP and has worked with Cleo for six years.
Gretchen Weber is originally from Frederick, Maryland and is a senior completing a BFA degree in dance at Mason Gross School of the Arts and BA in communication. She performed with University Danceworks for two years and has worked with John Evans, Gail Gilbert, Randy James, Patricia Mayer, and Jeanine Durning. She spent the past two summers studying at the Bates Dance Festival with Nancy Stark-Smith, Kathleen Hermesdorf, Tere O’Connor, Doug Varone, Patrick Widig and Stephan Koplowitz. She was the 2003 recipient of the Dance Express Award for outstanding choreography.
Michelle Zappoli grew up in Middletown, New Jersey and is currently a senior at Mason Gross School of the Arts completing her BFA in dance. She has performed and choreographed in several student concerts. Michelle has worked with John Evans, Patricia Mayer, Susan Marshall and is currently a member of University Danceworks.
