Theater Arts Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting

The Program

The Bachelor in Fine Arts Acting Program is designed for the serious student who seeks to undertake intensive conservatory training in the study of acting.  The core of the program consists of a required four- year commitment of courses in acting, voice and speech, and movement. The acting core is augmented by courses in physical theater, theatrical makeup, dialects and classical texts. Rutgers Theater Arts features a one-of-a-kind acting training opportunity with the junior year spent at Rutgers Conservatory at Shakespeare’s Globe in London to study classical acting. The goal of the program is professional preparation for a career in theater, film and/or television.
