| Theater Arts Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting The Program The Bachelor in Fine Arts Acting Program is designed for the serious student who seeks to undertake intensive conservatory training in the study of acting. The core of the program consists of a required four- year commitment of courses in acting, voice and speech, and movement. The acting core is augmented by courses in physical theater, theatrical makeup, dialects and classical texts. Rutgers Theater Arts features a one-of-a-kind acting training opportunity with the junior year spent at Rutgers Conservatory at Shakespeare’s Globe in London to study classical acting. The goal of the program is professional preparation for a career in theater, film and/or television.

Audition Dates There is a $50.00 non-refundable talent assessment fee made payable by check, cash or money order. Payments should be made to Rutgers University. For Fall 2008 AdmissionsIf you choose to audition at the Rutgers University/New Brunswick campus, please note that an information session and tour of our Theater Arts facilities is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on each audition day in New Brunswick. Please apply to the program by January 15, 2008. You can do so at http://admissions.rutgers.edu. The Theater Arts Department will contact you with information about how to schedule your acting audition.
