Theater Arts Bachelor of Fine Arts Design

The Program

The B.F.A. design program offers intensive training by utilizing the vast research resources of the New York City area and by providing practical design opportunities in both the mainstage theaters and studio theater.  All students interested in theatrical design take courses in scenic design, lighting design, costume design, and drawing, in addition to technical and professional craft courses.  This program prepares the student for a professional career as a theatrical scenic, lighting, or costume designer.  A full-time, four-year residency is required.
